Pres. Berube called the meeting to order at 7:01PM.
Paul Soares lead the Club in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Secretary's Report
Chris Britt read the Secretary's report. Joe Leonardo made a motion to accept; Gordon DeJong
seconded.
Treasurer’s Report
Jerome Jussaume read the Treasurer’s report. Ray DeMore made a motion to accept; Joe Leonardo
seconded.
Committee Report
There were no reports from Audit, BMP, Club House, Ground and Maintenance, Kitchen, WCL,
Website, and Work Hours.
Officers
Pres. Berube thanked James Valentine for presenting a certificate and flag that was flown over the
country of Iraq in honor of Uxbridge Rod and Gun Club.
Board of Advisors
Mike DiLibero reported that the committee met on March 17th and selected Harry Romasco as
Chairman and Mike DiLibero as Co-Chairman.
Archery
Mike DiLibero reported for Jack Briggs that a work party would be held April 9th to clean out the
trailer and range.
Fish
Gary Berube reported that the pond was stocked on Saturday, March 26th and closed until
Saturday, April 2nd. He thanked Durk Lawson, Bob Miller, Rob Knapik, and new members Pat Connors
and the Guilfoil brothers, Jeff and Jason for their help in stocking the pond. The fish are hitting and
all reports are the folks that are using the pond are having a great time. Next stocking will be Saturday,
April 30th, 10:00AM and will reopen Saturday, May 7th at 7:00AM. Jr. Members Trout Derby will be
held May 7th at 8:00AM-10:30AM. Breakfast will be served in the morning starting at 6:30. Prizes will be
awarded.
Forestry
Gordon DeJong reported that he talked to the Forestry and he gave the Club the go ahead
to make two small fields.
Game
Brian Stevens, Jr. reported that the Pheasant Committee met on March 27th to discuss
and plan projects and events for the year. The porketta will be on August 6th. Tickets will be
available at the upcoming meetings and from committee members. They agreed on and committed
to a pheasant contract for the upcoming year. Black Powder tickets are still available; see committee
members.
Pistol
Bob Miller reported that the frames are getting shot up. They will have to replace them if this
keeps up. John Ayvazian reported on the upcoming pistol shoots/schedule. (A list of shoots will posted
under Upcoming Events) All Sunday matches start at 10:00AM. Walls of Steel will start at 9:00AM and
2:00PM. Wincheck bowling pin shoot will be the 3rd Sunday of the month.
Land and Pond
Pres. Berube gave an updated report.
Trap
Greg Pellegrini reported that shoots are held on Sundays at 10:00AM and starting in May on
Thursdays at 6:00PM.
Rifle
Ray Moloney, Jr. reported that someone cut the chain at the beginning of the road and drove
up to the range. They had to replace the chain. They are in need of more cardboard, 39X39. There
are 2 sign-in boxes for the range to use.
Membership
Pres. Berube reported that all new members have been inducted into the Club. They have been
given their by-laws and rules. As usual I ask any member that has sponsored a new member to show
them around and help them with any questions they may have about the way things operate in our Club
and to make their experience as a new and hopefully a permanent member a positive one!!
Newsletter
Pres. Berube reported that he is currently working on a new membership list to send to Outdoor Message.
History
Mark Kuras reported that he would like to purchase some photo albums to put pictures in, so he can leave them out
for Club Members to look at.
Old Business
Ed Pokornicki reported on the FID Course that was held on March 26th and 27th. Ten young men attended
this course. He thanked the members for the use of the Club and grounds; Ron Harney for helping; Lynn Kuefler
for putting the course on-line; Ralph True, Sr. for putting it in the paper; Ed’s wife Pauline and Willie for cooking; Butch
Butcher for ammo; and Dario DePasquale for the Trap Range. Ed donated $100 to the Club from the registration fees
and ten orange hats to the Youth Pheasant Program.
New Business
Gordon DeJong reported that he will look into the cost of an excavator to clear the fields or the Club will have to
clear it themselves.
Mike DiLibero reported that Youth Pheasant Program would be held tentatively on September 17th with September 24th
as an alternate. This is open to boys and girls between the ages of 12-18 years old.
Jerome Jussaume made a recommendation to transfer $35,420.00 from the General Fund to the Operational Funds for
this coming year; Ed Pokornicki seconded.
Mark Kuras asked if he could appropriate $65.00 to purchase photo albums. Mike DiLibero made a motion to appropriate
$65.00 to purchase photo albums; Lenny Audette seconded.
Ed Pokornicki made a motion to adjourn at 7:50pm; Joe Leonardo seconded.
