Fish
Pres. Berube as reported at the last meeting there will be tentatively another stocking date for Saturday,
February 4th, 2012 at 10 AM, closing the pond until Saturday, February 11th, 2012, and opening with an
ice-fishing derby which will run from 7-10AM with prizes for the top 3 fish taken. The derby will be open to
all club members with no specific age categories. Registration will be from 6-7 AM at the clubhouse. I’m hoping
to have the kitchen open for breakfast throughout the morning. Rules will be passed out at the time of registration
and no holes will be drilled or tilts set until the start of the derby. The reason for this is that the rules for this derby
and only this derby will be modified from the regular club limits! Obviously this is all contingent on safe ice conditions
for members, otherwise the pond will be open for regular fishing at that date with the pond being used at your
personal and safe discretion! Enjoy yourselves and please keep our catch recording sheets up to date.
Forestry
Gordon DeJong reported that the land would need re-certification this year.
Rifle
Ray Moloney, Sr. reported that he will be away for 3 months; if someone could look after the range while he's
gone, he would appreciate it. He checked the range today and it was a real mess!
Work Hours
Durk Lawson reported that all work hours should be turned in. Twenty-two probationary members have
completed their hours and meetings.
Membership
Pres. Berube reported that it's that time of year; probationary members have had until December 31st, 2011 to
finish their work hours and now it's come and gone! Will all Chairmen that haven't gotten their slips in please get them
in this week (1/2-1/7), so that we can get our records up to date. Those new members that have their hours in,
but need a meeting have until February 1st, 2012 to complete their meeting requirements. The updated probationary
attendance, work hours, and waiting list are posted in the glass cabinet. If your hours don't match what's posted, as
always remember to keep your slips and check with the chairperson who signed it for you to make sure they reported
your time to get your credit for all hours worked.
Newsletter
Pres. Berube reported that a few people still haven't been receiving their newsletter.
