President Berube called the meeting to order at 7:02PM
The Club Members voted for this years officers.
Secretary’s Report
Chris Britt read the Secretary’s report. Jerome Jussaume made an
amendment to the minutes under Game, it should also read to thank
Jerry McClure for his help too. An amendment also under Kitchen was
made to thank Gordon DeJong for all his help also. Dick Baker made a
motion to accept; Paul Soares seconded.
Treasurer’s Report
Jerome Jussaume read the Treasurer’s report. Dick Baker made a
motion to accept; Paul Soares seconded.
Committee Report
There were no reports from Archery, Audit, BMP, Ground and
Maintenance, Kitchen, Land Acquisition, Pistol, Pond, Rifle, Trap,
WCL, Work Hours, and Website.
Board of Advisors
Lenny Audette reported that a Board of Advisors meeting was held
on February 8th at 1:05PM. The meeting involved much discussion
regarding the new bylaw amendment proposed at the last Club Meeting
by Jerome Jussaume. The Board voted unanimously in favor of the
amendment to the bylaws. The meeting was adjourned at 1:50PM.
Fish
Pres. Berube reported that a fish stocking will be held on April
4th and the pond will re-open on April 11th. Another stocking will
be May 2nd and the pond will re-open on May 9th. The Children’s
Fishing Derby will be held on May 9th, from 8-11.
Forestry
Gordon DeJong reported that there’s about 35-40 cords of wood
that can be cut down. Gordon must receive the $100.00 a cord up
front before you can start cutting. Checks can be made out to the
Uxbridge Rod and Gun Club.
Membership
Mike Perks reported that the membership renewal for 2009 has
come to a close. He would like to thank the following members for
their help: Jon Quinn, Alison Burnham, Wade Leveille, Lynn Kuefler,
Joe Leonardo, and Gary Berube. A great thanks goes to Ed Pokornicki,
Denise Perks, and Dianne Perks. There are 47 openings for new
members. He will be contacting the prospective members shortly. The
new members meeting will be on March 21, 2009, at 1:00PM at the
Clubhouse.
Newsletter
Mike Perks reported that change of addresses can be done by
contacting Goal directly. The information is found on page 2 of the
paper. He will take care of the current change of address info that
he has found. However, from this day forward it will be your
responsibility to notify Goal of any changes to your subscription.
Old Business
Dick Baker reported on the town meeting that was held February 17th,
regarding hunting at the Pout Pond area. You are still able to hunt
at Pout Pond and thanks to everyone that showed up to support this.
Jerome Jussaume made a motion to amend ByLaw 8 Section A:
General Operating Fund, Allocation, the sentence “100% of the
Auxiliary annual membership dues will be distributed to this
account, unless otherwise designated to any other fund by the
associated Adult Member.” And
Delete under C. Fish and Game Fund, Allocation, Fish, the sentence
“100% of Auxiliary and Junior membership dues shall be allocated to
the Fish committee fund.” And
Add a new section “D. Junior Activity Fund, Purpose: The Junior
Activity Fund will be used to fund specific activities for Junior
Members. Allocation: “100% of Junior annual membership dues shall be
allocated to the Junior Activity Fund.”
The Club Members voted on this, 24 for it and 9 opposed. This
amendment was passed.

Ken Mercer reported that the motion that he had made in January that
the Fish Chairman must give 30 days notice prior to Club stocking
was voted unanimous.
New Business
Mike Perks would like to increase the membership to 350 and
eventually increase to 400. This motion will be tabled.
Mike Perks reported that a work party will be held April 18th at
9:00AM. Any chairpeople that have work to be done, please let him
know.
Roger Bibeault asked if anyone was interested in putting on a Field
Day this year. Roger will be chairing this and anyone that would
like to help or has ideas please let him know.
Chris Britt reported that a Ham and Bean Supper will be held May
2nd. The tickets are on sale for $8.00 a person. This supper is to
help sponsor the Children’s Christmas Party. If anyone would like to
help, please contact her or Pres. Berube. We are also asking if
anyone would like to donate raffle items, they would be greatly
appreciated. If anyone would like to bake for dessert for the
supper, please contact Chris.
Jack Briggs made a motion and Paul Soares seconded to adjourn the
meeting at 8:40PM.
